Privacy Policy

Morse Code Translator: SOS (“the app”) is developed by Whizbang Apps (“we”, “us”). The app is free and shows a banner ad. A one-time purchase, Pro, removes the ads and unlocks extra lessons. This policy explains what the app stores, what it accesses, and the third-party services it uses.
What We Store
The messages you translate, save or send, your recent messages, your settings and your lesson progress are stored only on your device. There is no account, and we do not upload your messages to any server.
Permissions
- Microphone: used only while you decode Morse tones. Audio is processed on your device and is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
- Camera: used only while you decode a blinking light. Video is processed on your device and is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
- Tracking: the app may show Apple’s tracking prompt so that ads can be personalised. Saying no does not limit any feature; you will see non-personalised ads instead.
You can change these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Third-Party Services
Google AdMob (advertising)
The free version shows a banner ad through Google AdMob. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy Choices. If you allow tracking, AdMob may use your device’s advertising identifier to personalise ads; if you don’t, only non-personalised ads are shown. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect device information such as your approximate location (from your IP address), device model and usage data. If you own Pro, no ads are shown. Your messages are never shared with AdMob. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses data from apps.
RevenueCat (purchases)
Pro and tips are processed by Apple; we never receive your payment details. To confirm and restore Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous, randomly generated app user ID, your purchase history for the app, and basic technical information such as device model, iOS version, app version, App Store country and IP address. This is used only to provide and restore your purchase.
TelemetryDeck (analytics)
The app uses TelemetryDeck to count anonymous app events, such as the app being opened or moved to the background. TelemetryDeck does not collect personal information, and the identifier it uses is anonymised before it leaves your device. Your messages are never sent.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date.
