Common questions

What's free and what's in Celebrate Pro?

Free: up to 5 events at a time, reminders, categories, photo and colour backgrounds, notes and Add to Calendar. Celebrate Pro is a one-time purchase that adds unlimited events, removes ads, lets you redact events, and lets you keep Celebrate in light or dark mode whatever your phone is set to.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Settings → Upgrade to Pro and tap Restore Purchase, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. Celebrate Pro is a one-time purchase with nothing to cancel.

My reminder didn't arrive

Check that notifications are on for Celebrate in the iPhone Settings app (Settings → Notifications → Celebrate), and that Focus isn't silencing them. Reminders a day or more ahead arrive at 9am; shorter ones arrive exactly that long before the event.

What does redacting an event do?

A redacted event shows a plain bar instead of its name, hides its note, and its reminder just says "A private event is coming up". Press and hold the bar on the event's full-screen view to peek. Turn it off from the event's settings (the ••• button).

Where did my past events go?

Events stay on the main list until the day after they happen, then move to Settings → Past Events.

Are my events backed up?

Your events are stored on your device and included in your normal iPhone backup (iCloud or computer). They are not uploaded anywhere else.

How do I change my ad consent?

If you're in a region that requires consent, go to Settings → Ad Privacy Choices. Pro users don't see ads at all.
