Hueby is a pixel colour-by-number game for iPhone and iPad: pick a picture, tap the numbered squares, and watch it come together.

Email whizbang.apps@gmail.com and we'll get back to you. Hueby is made by one person, so a reply can take a few days. If something is going wrong, telling us your device, your iOS version and what you were doing when it happened saves a round trip.

Common questions

Which pictures are free?

The Starter pack comes with the app and costs nothing. Five further packs — Creatures, Landscapes, Patterns, Space and Beach — are one-time in-app purchases, bought individually. There is no subscription.

What does Studio unlock?

Import Studio turns a photo from your library into a picture you can colour. Your first three imports are free; after that, the Studio unlock — a separate one-time purchase — gives you unlimited imports.

I've reinstalled Hueby. How do I get my packs back?

Tap Restore Purchases in the app, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. That re-checks your entitlements with Apple and re-enables everything you own.

I have a new iPhone or iPad. Do I have to buy the packs again?

No. Your purchases are tied to your Apple Account, not to the device. Install Hueby on the new device, sign in with the same Apple Account and tap Restore Purchases.

Why did my free import count reset when I reinstalled?

The count of free imports you've used is stored on the device and nowhere else — we have no server keeping track of you. Deleting the app deletes the count with it, so a fresh install starts from three again. That's a side effect of storing nothing about you off the device, not something you need to work around.

Can I start a picture over?

Yes. Reset the picture from inside the app and it goes back to blank, ready to colour again.

Where are my imported pictures kept?

On your device, inside the app. They are not synced to a cloud service or copied anywhere else, so they appear only on the device you imported them on. You can delete an imported picture from inside the app, and deleting Hueby removes them all.

Does Hueby get to see my whole photo library?

No. Importing goes through Apple's system photo picker, which hands the app only the single image you pick. Everything after that happens on your device.

Does it work on iPad?

Yes. Hueby runs on both iPhone and iPad.
