We read every message.

Luma is a photo editor for iPhone: make one master edit, then export a correctly framed set for every platform you post to.

Email whizbang.apps@gmail.com and we'll get back to you. Luma is made by one person, so a reply can take a few days. If something is going wrong, telling us your device, your iOS version and what you were doing when it happened saves a round trip.

Common questions

What's free, and what does Pro unlock?

The full editor — filters, adjustments, crop, captions, watermark — is free. The free tier includes 6 filters and exporting to 2 platforms at a time. Luma Pro removes both limits: every filter, and every platform in one export. Pro is $2.49/month, $14.99/year, or $29.99 as a one-time lifetime purchase.

How do I get my Pro purchase back after reinstalling?

Tap Restore Purchases in the app, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. That re-checks your subscription or lifetime purchase with Apple and re-enables Pro.

Which platforms does Luma export for?

Instagram Feed, Instagram Story, Threads, X, RedNote and Mastodon are bundled, plus one custom aspect ratio you can set yourself.

How does the auto-crop work?

Luma looks for faces and the most visually important part of your photo, then suggests a crop for each platform's aspect ratio. You can nudge any variant by hand in the review grid before exporting — Luma's suggestion is a starting point, not the last word.

What happens if a crop doesn't fit my photo's shape?

You can choose to fill (crop in) or frame (place the whole photo on a styled canvas — blurred, a solid colour, or a texture) for that variant.

Where do my exports get saved?

To your camera roll, as JPEGs at the exact dimensions each platform expects. Location and other EXIF metadata are stripped by default.

Does Luma see my whole photo library?

No. Picking a photo goes through Apple's system photo picker, which hands the app only the image you choose. Saving an export uses add-only permission — Luma can add new photos to your camera roll but can't read or browse your existing library.

Where are my edits kept if I close the app?

Every project auto-saves as you work and shows up again on the Home screen — nothing is lost if you close Luma mid-edit.

Does it work on iPad?

Not yet — Luma is iPhone-only for now.
